Dr Aaron Lane is a an Honorary Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Divinity based in the Catholic Theological College.
Aaron holds the degrees of Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Deakin University, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law, a Graduate Diploma of Theology and a Master of Arts in Theology from the University of Divinity (graduating as 2013 Vice-Chancellor’s Scholar) and a Doctor of Philosophy from RMIT University. Aaron is an Australian Lawyer, admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Aaron’s research considers the relationship between regulation, governance and innovation. He is an recognised expert in blockchain and cryptocurrencies. At the University of Divinity he is currently exploring the implications of new technologies for church governance and the social doctrine of the church.
Aaron holds a full-time appointment at RMIT University as a Lecturer in Law and Research Fellow in the Graduate School of Business and Law where he manages undergraduate business law courses and teaches in the Juris Doctor and the Master of Business Administration programs.
