Dr Amir Malek

MBBS(Hons), MSc, FRACGP, MA(Theol), PhD

Amir has been teaching Old Testament and New Testament at St Athanasius College (SAC) since 2011.

Amir completed his PhD at University of Divinity in 2021 and holds a Masters degree in theology from the Australian Catholic University (2010). His doctoral thesis is titled Marqus Ibn al-Qunbur Commentary on the Book of Genesis (1-11): An Edition and Translation. Areas of particular interest in Amir’s research are the Pentateuch and Christian Arabic literature.

Amir currently teaches units on Old and New Testaments at St Athanasius College.

A member of the Coptic Orthodox community in Melbourne, Amir is involved in Biblical teaching both to the youth and larger community.
