Very Rev. Dr Brian Boyle EV is an adjunct lecturer at Catholic Theological College and is a member of the Department of Biblical Studies, lecturing in Biblical Studies (Old Testament). He is the Episcopal Vicar for Education in the Diocese of Sandhurst and Assistant Priest at St Joseph’s, Quarry Hill.
Brian Boyle holds a Diploma of Tertiary Education from the University of New England, a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University (Canberra), a Bachelor of Theology from the University of Divinity and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome). He gained a Doctorate in Sacred Theology at the Gregorian with research on synchronic and diachronic readings of narrative in the Book of Jeremiah.
Before coming to CTC he was Dean of the College of Theology and Philosophy as well as a Senior Lecturer in Biblical Studies at the University of Notre Dame Freemantle, Australia 2000-2005.
His publications are: “Holiness has a Shape: The Place of the Altar in Ezekiel’s Visionary Plan of Sacred Space (Ezekiel 43: 1-12, 13-17, 18-27)” in Australian Biblical Review (2009) and The Figure of the Nasi in Ezediel’s Vision of the New Temple (Exekiel 40-48), Australian Biblical Review, 2010.
