Dorothy Lee is an academic in New Testament and an Anglican priest in the Diocese of Melbourne.
She has published extensively in New Testament (Gospel studies) and feminist exegesis. She has written articles, essays and monographs, the main focus being the Gospel of John.
Her current research is a commentary on the aesthetics of the Gospel of John
Dorothy has had considerable media involvement, including radio interviews and writing for The Melbourne Anglican and The Conversation.
She is involved as an honorary priest at St Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne, and locum Vicar at St Mary’s Anglican church North Melbourne from 20th October 2024.
She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities and, in 2023, was awarded an AM.
