Gregory Brett CM is a senior lecturer in Systematic Theology. He works in the areas of Faith and Revelation, Christology, Theological Anthropology, Grace and Eschatology. He has also lectured extensively in Ecclesiology and Sacraments. He is a past member of the National Catholic-Lutheran Dialogue and the National Catholic-Anglican Dialogue.
A particular interest is the work of the German theologian Karl Rahner and the Scottish philosopher John Macmurray.
His most recent publication is The Theological Notion of the Human Person: A Conversation between the Theology of Karl Rahner and the Philosophy of John Macmurray. Bern: Peter Lang AG, 2013.
In late 2015 he was called to Sydney to take over the office of the Provincial. In 2016 he was appointed the Provincial of the Vincentians for the Province of Oceania for a term of six years. His current research is the Theology of Vatican II; (also) Rahner and Creation Theology.
