Jione is co-parent for Diya Lākai – a polycultural daughter, native pastor (Methodist Church, Tonga), and senior research fellow with Trinity Theological College (Aotearoa New Zealand). An activist on the ground and in meeting- and class- rooms, Jione pushes back at bullies and suckers, and flips (at) shitstems, in and around scripturalized (con)texts. Jione is also adjunct lecturer with United Theological College (School of Theology, Charles Sturt University), Pilgrim Theological College (University of Divinity), and Sia’atoutai Theological College (Tonga).
