Lyn is a Salvation Army Officer who is committed to the idea that God intends for all people, communities and the world itself to flourish and that we are all called to join with God in creating such a world.
Lyn holds undergraduate and post graduate qualifications in both social work and theology, most recently with a Doctorate of Ministry (Missiology). The D Min thesis topic focused on Gen Y and their responsiveness to entering ordained leadership within The Salvation Army.
Following the completion of her D Min, Lyn co authored a book exploring Salvation Army missional theology and practice titled “Partnering with God: Being a Missional Salvationist” (Wipf and Stock, 2017).
Lyn currently teaches Mission at Eva Burrows College. She does this alongside her substantive role as Secretary for Mission, Australia Territory. In this role she is responsible for the Social and Community work of The Salvation Army throughout Australia, the Policy and Research department as well as the resourcing of Salvation Army Corps (churches).
