At the end of 2024 Meewon completed 26 years as a Multicultural Consultant with the Baptist Union of Victoria (BUV). During this time, she completed training in Professional Supervision. She has a particular focus on supporting and supervising Culturally and Linguistically Diverse background people in ministry.

Originally from Korea, Meewon is an ordained Baptist minister with the BUV, and has served in local church ministry settings. She is a tutor and lecturer in the Program of Professional Practice (Whitley College). Her Master of Theology Research explored Models of Multicultural Church in the Baptist Union of Victoria. She has been an adjunct lecturer as part of the Whitley College mission courses.

She has presented the results of her research in conferences in Korea, New Zealand and Australia and was the keynote presenter at the Association of Practical Theology in Oceania (APTO) in 2023.

In 2023 Meewon was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her service to Baptist Churches of Australia, and to refugee support services.
