Mel Hayde is an Associate Lecturer with Stirling Theological College and the University of Divinity. She will be teaching Academic Writing and Research, Theology of Grief and Loss, Children and Adolescents and Biblical Parenting in the Bachelor of Counselling.
Mel has been a School Teacher since 1990. She has developed Professional Development courses for teachers and is currently a Presenter with Teacher Training Australia. Mel is an accredited counselor practicing in the role as School Counselor in a local Christian College. She has been a Recitation Instructor with the Christian Counselling Education Foundation since 2015. Mel has written a parenting book, Toddler To Teen, and has spoken to parent groups around Australia since 1996.
Since 1998 Mel has been an active member of the Not-for Profit organisation, Growing Families Australia, and is currently the Australian Coordinator of Godly Encouragement for Mums (GEMS) and she is a member of their N.S.W. State Leadership team. Mel has been involved with her local church, St Clair Baptist, through teaching, leading services and mentoring young women since 1998.
