Father Paul Rowse, OP is a Catholic priest of the Dominican Order and lectures in New Testament at Catholic Theological College.
After completing institutional studies for the priesthood, he wrote a master’s thesis under Rev Prof Brendan Byrne, SJ, entitled: The Glory of the Human Person: The Resurrected Body in the Letter to the Romans (MTheol), Melbourne College of Divinity, 2011.
Father Paul is currently completing a doctoral thesis for the University of Oxford, entitled Early Christian Readings of Paul on Moral Regeneration, under Prof Markus Bockmuehl and Rev Prof Jennifer Strawbridge. He is also looking forward to the publication of “Swords into Pens Shared: Healing the Fracture between Theology and Sacred Scripture.” Chapter in Fractures in Theology [Eugene: Wipf and Stock, forthcoming].”
He is currently lecturing for introductory units in New Testament at undergraduate and graduate level. He has previously taught the Gospel of Matthew (2014), Johannine Literature (2012), Letters of Paul (2013-2018), New Testament Greek (2015), Synoptic Gospels (2018), and introductory units (2012-2014).
Father Paul is assigned to St Dominic’s Priory, East Camberwell. He is also National Chaplain of the Australian Catholic Students’ Association.
