Dr Paul Sharkey is the Postgraduate Coordinator at Catholic Theological College and is a consultant in mission and identity issues to a number of Catholic dioceses and religious congregations. He has worked for a number of decades in Catholic Education, mostly as an Executive at a system level including roles as the State Director of Catholic Education in South Australia and various senior roles with the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria and the Melbourne Catholic Education Office. He currently lectures at Catholic Theological College and has previously lectured at the Australian Catholic University, Flinders University and the University of South Australia. His PhD was a case study of teacher responses to a religious ethos program in a Catholic school. Paul has also completed postgraduate programs in theology, education, program evaluation and educational leadership and management. Paul is currently engaged in research into issues associated with the mission, identity and culture of Catholic schools as these issues are of profound significance at this time.
