Ross has taught in the University of Divinity since 1998, and been heavily involved in academic administration and leadership for much of that time. He was Academic Dean at Yarra Theological Union from 2012 until 2023.
His research is primarily in the field of ecclesiology, with an interest in how the church may become humbler and healthier. He is also interested in the history and theology of the Anglican Church and of the ecumenical movement. HIs teaching areas are Christology and Ecclesiology.
He has been an Anglican Priest since 1983, and has served in parish across metropolitan Melbourne in addition to working in theological education since 1994.
