Sheree Limbrick is a skilled human services professional, having worked in the sector for more than 26 years, with more than 16 years’ experience in senior executive leadership roles across a number of community service organisations, including most recently as inaugural Chief Executive Officer of Australian Catholic Safeguarding Ltd (2017-2021).
As CEO of ACSL, Sheree was instrumental in the development of the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards for the Catholic Church in Australia, along with the accompanying capacity building and audit frameworks. Sheree played a significant leadership role in developing professional development focused on the prevention of institutional abuse, developing safe Church practices and leadership for a safe Church, and delivering this to senior leaders in the Catholic Church and leaders from other faith communities within Australia and internationally.
During Sheree’s time at ACSL, she was called on for expert input from a range of government, faith-based and academic institutions. Advice provided to CTC in 2017-18 is the basis of the Unit Sheree is now teaching – Pastoral Leadership for a Safe Church.
Sheree has worked extensively in partnership with community service organisations, government, schools, faith communities and volunteer groups.
Sheree is Managing Director of SLK Advisory and provides support to a range of organisations to help strengthen their safeguarding strategies and is currently undertaking a Master of Human Rights Law at Melbourne Law School.
