Tyson works as the Information Technology Support Engineer at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor. This role involves supporting the Information Technology Manager with various projects, including developing new software, creating integrations between our existing systems, and facilitating the production of statistics and reporting.
He has worked in the Information Technology industry for over 20 years, working with Government departments such as Justice, Education, and Transport, as well as developing payment solutions and data management tools for the private sector. Tyson also taught as a Secondary English and History teacher for 7 years.
Tyson completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Adelaide in 2009, followed by a Graduate Diploma of Education in 2010 and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology in 2019. He is also a musician, performing regularly in his hometown of Albury, NSW, and holds the rank of AC(AAFC) as an Instructor of Cadets in the Australian Air Force Cadets, 412SQN.
