Yane Damanik completed a Master of Arts in Christian Counselling from Kingsley College in 2003. She has worked in various settings and enjoyed a variety of roles in teaching, counselling, pastoral work, chaplaincy and community development. She has taught a number of counselling subjects including Introduction to Counselling Skills, Relational Dynamics, Counselling Theories and Methods, Christianity and Counselling, Development and Diversity, and Pastoral Care and Counselling.
Yane completed her Doctor of Ministry from Adelaide College of Divinity in 2022 and has research interests in Indigenous epistemology, multicultural counselling, intergenerational trauma and attachment.
